Wielding a broom, Mayor Don Williamson announced Wednesday he has booted most politically appointed top Flint officials. Several nominations for their replacements are expected today.

Our Mayor is a hypocritical man who does not know anything about the political system... it is hard to get a degree in any type of political science from behind bars! All I want to know is when is he going to pay off our DEBT... I remember him "promising" that he will personally pay the debt off.... THAT’LL BE THE DAY... until then he can have his wife be the breadwinner of the family! WE ALL KNOW WHO WEARS THE PANTS IN THAT RELATIONSHIP! DON WILLIAMSON IS THE WORST MAYOR IN AMERICA! Mad

Not only is he wiping out appointees - apparently he thinks the best way to save Flint is to reduce people's pay to almost unlivable levels. Where is the outrage on that? How is that supposed to help Flint - turning the workers into the living poor so they can't keep up their houses, pay their bills and spend money in the city limits? Isn't that how we got this way in the first place?

how ironic one week the council is getting back pay - the next week city workers are getting demotions. Gotta love our fabulous new mayor.

being someone who lives outside Flint, but grew up there - I feel he is almost as big of an embarassment to the town as the fact that people voted him into office.

Is this what everyone wanted? Nice.
