City of Flint Police Department
Last night the Flint Police Department responded to the area of Kellar Ave and Stewart St in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a young male subject with a gun shot wound. The officers on scene did an outstanding job collecting suspect information from witnesses, arresting three subjects, and locating the weapon used in this assault. Well done Officers Suttles, Coe, and Matteson! |

I drove down Sutton between Flushing and Mackin. The house at 1359 Sutton has three pairs of shoes over the utility lines. The vacant home at 1305 Sutton has HAB. I saw this graffiti months ago, but did not recognize it as a group I was aware of. That changed when I went to the east side.
Bethel United needs to ensure their elderly parishioners are safeguarded as some of this gang graffiti is concentrated in the area of the church. A possible car jacking with a man shot and other violent activity has occurred in the vicinity of Ballenger and Flushing.

FLINT, MI -- At least two people were stabbed and one taken into custody following an incident Sunday, July 26, in the 1300 block of Sutton Avenue, police said.
Genesee County Sheriff's deputies, Flint police and two ambulance companies responded around 1:45 p.m. Sunday to Sutton Avenue, between Prospect and Wolcott streets for a stabbing.
A female victim was taken to Hurley Regional Medical Center after being stabbed and listed in good condition, while at least one other victim was treated for their injury at the scene.
There may have been other victims, but police at the scene did not provide an exact number. One man was taken into custody at the scene and later transported to the Flint Police Department. |

Flint police operations reported three victims. This area is filled with signs of gang activity, such as graffiti (Hustle Avenue Boys, HAB, 812) and shoes over the wire. This group's graffiti was earlier seen in the East Side along Lewis.
Recent social media posts reflected young teens with weapons in the Sutton & Flushing Rd area.
Whether domestic or gang related, this is a violent area. Recently home invasions and thefts have occurred in the New Northern area. |

| Thanks to our new Police Chief for bringing the CATT unit back. They were instrumental in bringing down a number of gang s and other criminals. The Cobras once painted they were CATT KILLERS on the wall of the old boxing club on Franklin. |
