Matt Oldham and Orr had a prior confrontation regarding a female. Oldham pulled a gun on Orr and Orr left. Matt Oldham called Al and ordered hi to do something about his cousin, Orr. Instead Al gave him a 380 cal. handgun.

Oldham rode up on Orr in another confrontation. As Orr approached the car, matt Oldham had a gun and the two had an argument. As Orr tried to leave he was shot in the arm, an in and out. Orr shot through the pocket of his jacket striking Oldham. Shawn Gardner was chasing him and had a gun. He jumped the gate at Arbor Village to escape. Afraid he left town and hid.

When Orr eventually returned there were rumors the Hot boys wanted to kill him.

On July 22,2009 Orr was shot in Evergreen Regency. His sister was living there at the time. As he was walking from the house of the mother of his child towards his sister's house, shots began coming from a car. He saw Gills driving the vehicle. He was shot six times, front and back. He pushed a girl out of the way after the two back shots. This spun him around and got him shot in the front. He ran to his sisters and she drove him to the hospital where he had surgery.

FLINT, MI -- A Flint man charged in three slayings could now only serve 30 years after an appeals court overturned his sentence.

Shawn Deontaye Gardner, 27, was sentenced Monday, Aug. 4, by Genesee Circuit Judge Archie Hayman to 30-50 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for a 2009 killing.

As part of a plea agreement, four other cases -- including two other homicides -- were dismissed after Gardner helped prosecutors take down the violent south-side Flint Howard Boys street gang.

Gardner and Ricco Holmes, who also pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, were accused of following Lennon Johnson Jr., 20, out of a club on Clio Road the night he was shot. Gardner allegedly fired shots from an assault rifle at Johnson during a car chase. Johnson was shot in the head inside his car and was then hit by oncoming traffic as his vehicle entered the intersection of Pierson and Kermit roads.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton has said the agreement means Gardner will not have the opportunity to be paroled until after he serves the full 30 year minimum.

Gardner was originally sentenced to 80-120 years in prison following his March 2011 convictions of second-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm and felony firearms for Johnson's death. However, the Michigan Court of Appeals ruled in April 2013 that Gardner had ineffective counsel during his original 2011 trial and ordered a new trial.

Gardner was also accused of killing Gary Andre on Feb. 5, 2004, and Malachi Wilson on June 15, 2009, according to police. Wilson and Andre were added as victims in Gardner's guilty plea.

Wilson's slaying was previously named in a federal indictment against members of the alleged Howard Boys street gang. Johnathan Oldham was also convicted on federal charges in connection to Wilson's death.

Nearly two dozen men were convicted in state and federal court for their role in the Howard Boys street gang, which prosecutors say terrorized the streets in Flint's south side.

The gang -- which claimed its turf as "Murda Ville" -- used violence and intimidation to control the drug and gun trade on Flint's south side, prosecutors say.

Gardner was also charged with assault with intent to murder in the shootings of Joey Love, also on Feb. 5, 2004, Nicole Howell on April 7, 2004, and Charles Orr on July 22, 2009.
