If you want to exploit violence...the indecency of FoxNews, is the perfect place to do it!! Justify the violence by the Ferguson Missouri Police Dept...by putting out a report that "One" member of the Black Panthers was in town...obviously, to stir problems and get into their fans' feelings and views...or more like, whatever view they intent to exploit. We all know, how 'Fair and Balanced'...FoxNews and News Corp. are!!

Do you want tension and restlessness, to get worse? in a town where an innocent victim, was shot? and where civil unrest...just brings more tear gas, and shootings? Well!! Fox!! is the place to be, my friends!! Fox News’ Martha MacCallum went on to push Black Panther fears, by claiming that the Panthers are pushing racial violence in Ferguson...all, because an FBI report, that ONE member is in Ferguson. Martha MacCallum, is a grown woman...she knew the ramifications, for what she said...it doesn't take too many sound bytes, to pour gasoline over the fire!! Whether she morally felt, it should have been reported, or she did what's best for business...it shows the insensitivity in the mindset of most on the Right, along with their thriving fascination with gun violence. To them, Guns solve everything.
It's funny that FoxNews is trying to justify the "Militarization" of the Police...when even Rand Paul, is calling for the "de-militarization" of the Police. You gonna have people, complaining that some were saying; "Death to the Police"...well? how do you think they feel? In my days they were called "Pigs", when they acted in that same manner!! Police Intolerance, is never justified!!

Let's thank the media...and specially the Social Media... for keeping people aware of the true details. We're evolving throughout the largest changes in our Cultures, and in our Society in general, in the history of this Country. The truth is hard to hide, anymore...and Social Media is what keeps it honest. "Because of social media, the police don't have control of this story" , said George Karpf, George Washington University professor. "It's opened everything up, changed how the media decides what's worthy of coverage...and who to trust". It feels nice, that the cops don't have control of the story...or how they can't BS their way out.

USAToday's Lyndsay Deutsch and Jolie Lee, wrote: "Residents of Ferguson, Mo., didn't wait for press conferences, petitions or legal action to bring national attention to their streets after a police officer fatally shot an unarmed black teen. They snapped a photo, they used a hashtag. And, in the span of five days, their growing, stinging social media cloud of real-time updates shaped a raw public discourse about the victim, Michael Brown, race relations and police force in the USA". 142,000 Tweets Tuesday, 655,000 Wednesday...and growing. Stop the power of We the People? Republicans 'do' hate the Internet!

Fox News Tries To Justify Militarization and Violence of Ferguson Police

Fox Ferguson

Fox News has the Ferguson, Missouri police department’s back. In order to justify the unwarranted violence and violation of First Amendment rights, Fox News is once again stirring up racial animus and using one specific outlier as an excuse for consistently and inherently bad behavior by the police.

Filing in for the vacationing Megyn Kelly, Fox News’ Martha MacCallum drummed up Black Panther fears by claiming they are pushing racial violence in Ferguson, based on an FBI report that ONE member of the fringe Black Panthers group is in Ferguson.

Watch the August 13 edition of The Kelly File here via Media Matters:Media Matters’ Thomas Bishop laid it out:

On the August 13 edition of The Kelly File, Fox News correspondent Mike Tobin explained that while “demonstrations remain[ed] peaceful” throughout the day, New Black Panther Party members were seen in Ferguson. Ignoring the reports of peaceful protests, MacCallum highlighted a tweet and Facebook posts from one New Black Panther Party member in particular who she claimed “is very vociferously advocating violence against the police

PoliticusUSA’s Justin Baragona is in Ferguson, and has been reporting daily about the citizens’ desire to be heard after the still unexplained shooting and killing of an unarmed, African-American 18-year-old boy named Michael Brown. Their daily protests have been peaceful, even in the wake of such tragedy.

If one citizen of a group “very vociferously advocating violence” via Twitter and Facebook is cause for alarm and police targeting of entire group, then conservatives should expect to be the targets of the Secret Service for just being a conservative, since there are consistent threats against this President made by conservatives on both mediums. But of course, that is ridiculous and unfair to an entire group of people, especially when made by a lone member and not a leader.

Bishop pointed out that Fox News failed to mention the fact that Brown’s family, President Obama, and the NAACP all denounced the violence and called for peaceful protests.

But the community has also been trying peacefully to communicate their message. Yes, there is looting at night, but that is not the only story and even that is not being put into context. It’s hard to justify repeated requests for non-violence while an unexplained killing is being being ignored and swept under the rug.

AG Eric Holder announced a federal investigation into the shootings. It is no doubt due to this investigation that conservatives at Fox News feel compelled to exaggerate the Black Panther fear-mongering. Nothing gets the Fox News crowd riled up like the idea that justice might extend to black people and might be dished out by a black person in charge, such as Eric Holder or President Obama. These examples of leadership coming from minorities is a painful reminder of change and progress, and stirs up the festering resentment among the Archie Bunker crowd.

If anyone is playing the race card right now, it’s Fox News. And by playing the race card, I mean unwarranted stirring up of racial animus and fear for political reasons. This is not even in the same category as a minority sharing their experience of being targeted by the police due to the color of their skin. One is not real, and the other is way too often demonstrably real, and documented.

The Civil Rights Organization explains that racial profiling by law enforcement is not only a violation of Constitutional rights, but it is also ineffective.

Racial profiling in law enforcement is not merely wrong, but also ineffective. Race-based assumptions in law enforcement perpetuate negative racial stereotypes that are harmful to our rich and diverse democracy, and materially impair our efforts to maintain a fair and just society.

Fox News is trying to justify the militarization of the police by inferring that black people are dangerous because one member of the Black Panthers has bad judgment. Fox News is trying to justify the violation of constitutional rights, and ignoring the killing of an unarmed African American teenager, by using one example of what they would call a “lone wolf” or “bad apple” were this person to go on a shooting spree and kill innocent children. Yet, one person expressing emotions on Facebook and Twitter justifies targeting an entire group of people when that group is a minority, according to Fox.

The lack of consistency in values is the giveaway that there is an agenda in play.

Conservatives consistently side with violence and violation of First Amendment rights by the police when targeting people with whom conservatives disagree or for whom they have contempt. See Occupy.

A value that is not consistent is not a value at all. One Black Panther expressing himself on Facebook does not justify arresting members of the press for no reason, excessive violence against citizens, and lethal police silence in the wake of a still unexplained shooting and killing of an unarmed teenager.

Don't forget old Al is in town also. Thankfully Fox News reports events as they take place the only agenda is of course the constant leftist crap and Obama cover-ups spewed by the news outlets that only dream of having Fox's ratings. Very Happy

Ferguson, Missouri: The case of the vanishing fractured orbital bone and journalistic integrity

Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson (C) walks away from a media availability
It's been nearly two weeks since Michael Brown was gunned down by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, apparently for the crime of jaywalking, and we are still left with more questions than answers on why the unarmed 18-year old was killed. But that hasn't stopped the trial-by-media conviction of the victim for his own death.
The vilification of Michael Brown really got rolling the day Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson held a press conference, allegedly to identify Brown's killer, but in actuality to tell the world that Brown shoplifted some cigars on the day he was killed—never mind that it had nothing to do with the shooting—and the media cheerfully jumped on it. And since that day, every story, no matter how irrelevant, no matter how thinly sourced, and the media is all over it.

In fact, these days the favorite sources for the media seem to be "unnamed," "close to the investigation," or "Josie," the anonymous, alleged friend of Officer Darren Wilson, who told her unsubstantiated, secondhand story to a right-wing radio station and—again—the media was all over it. In fact, on Thursday, CNN spent several news segments discussing the "different accounts of the shooting," comparing named eyewitness accounts to that of "Josie." And it wasn't until the third or fourth segment of the day that a CNN legal analyst made this jaw-dropping admission:

Well, yeah, first let's throw out 'Josie,' the radio caller in this ... We all had Josie fever for about a day and we took a step back and realized wait, she wasn't even an actual witness, even though her story was compelling.
The new standard: Compelling. Great. And about that orbital bone fracture? That was the latest story making the rounds, as told by an anonymous, alleged friend of Officer Darren Wilson (Josie, is that you?): That Michael Brown beat Wilson so severely that Wilson "suffered severe facial injuries and was nearly beaten unconscious," and "suffered a fracture to his eye bone" in the moments before he shot and killed Brown. Except he didn't.
So to the media, stop it. Just stop it. Demand answers, report the facts. That's your job.

CNN Contradicts Fox Sources Claiming Darren Wilson Had Fractured Eye Socket
by Matt Wilstein | 4:58 pm, August 21st, 2014 VIDEO

Earlier this week, Fox News reported that Darren Wilson, the Ferguson police officer who shot and killed 18-year-old unarmed Michael Brown, suffered a fractured eye socket following his confrontation with the teenager. The reporter, Hollie McKay, cited a “source close to the [police] department’s top brass” as providing that information to the network.

However, on CNN Thursday, Don Lemon reported that Wilson did not suffer a fractured or broken eye socket and was rather treated at the hospital for swelling around his face and eyes. Noting that that specific injury has not been reported by CNN, “but is making its way around other media organization,” Lemon cited a “source close to the investigation” who told CNN that Wilson’s x-rays came back negative for a fractured eye socket.

“That source says it is not true, at all, he did not have a torn eye socket,” Lemon said. “Unequivocally.”

Following Lemon’s report, Nancy Grace offered up her official position on the matter: “I really don’t know if we’re going to know what any of this is, or the truth of it, until it comes out in court.”

MSNBC had a video 2 nights ago which was clear enough that officer Wilson could be observed walking around the body of Michael brown with his back up officer. He moved easily and showed no obvious signs of injury.

LITTLE GREEN FOOTBALLS
Jim Hoft’s Unsourced Claim That Officer Darren Wilson Had an “Orbital Blowout Fracture of the Eye Socket”

A few problems in the dumbest man on the Internet’s narrative

By Charles Johnson

The entire right wing universe (including Drudge Report) is now screaming about this post by, yes, the Dumbest Man on the Internet again, claiming that anonymous sources told him officer Darren Wilson suffered an “orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket” in a struggle with unarmed teenager Michael Brown: BREAKING REPORT: Officer Darren Wilson Suffered “Orbital Blowout Fracture to Eye Socket” During Mike Brown Attack | the Gateway Pundit.

It’s possible that someone did leak this information to Hoft, but I’ll remind my readers that Jim Hoft is probably the single most dishonest right wing blogger on the Internet as well as the dumbest, with a very long history of distorting facts and completely making stuff up to push his far right, often overtly racist agenda.

And there are some things to consider about Hoft’s claims this time as well, before lending them credibility they probably don’t deserve.

Here are the symptoms of an orbital blowout fracture:

The most common symptoms are bruising, tenderness and swelling around the eye; redness of the eye; double vision, ordiplopia (seeing two images at the same time); numbness of the cheek, nose or teeth; nose bleeds (epistaxis) [See figure 1].

Symptoms that typically indicate a more serious injury are pain on eye movement, double vision, air under the skin around the eye, and numbness of the cheek/mouth/nose on the side of the injury. Severe trauma may cause facial bone fractures, injury to the eye itself, and injuries to the skull/brain.

In the video taken by an eyewitness immediately after the shooting, officer Darren Wilson is seen walking calmly around the body with no signs of discomfort or injury, even though by this time he would have been in very serious pain.

Larger

Also, no ambulance was called for Wilson, and no first aid was administered by other officers, which seems odd if he had indeed suffered this type of serious injury — or any injury at all.

And there’s more evidence that Hoft is trying to pull a fast one again; here is the original image posted at the AAPOS site, showing a CT scan of a blowout fracture (on the left), compared to the image posted at Gateway Pundit by Hoft (on the right):

Original example CT scan (L), compared to altered image posted by Jim Hoft (R)

Notice the difference? In the version posted by Jim Hoft, the text at bottom right that says “UNIV OF IOWA” has been crudely erased. Caught you, Jim.

Was Hoft trying to mislead his readers into thinking this was the actual X-ray (or CT scan) of Darren Wilson? His text does not make it clear it wasn’t Wilson’s CT scan — and the words “UNIV OF IOWA” have been blacked out, quite deliberately.

If Hoft’s intent was to mislead, it worked. All over Twitter and right wing blogs, the wingnuts are raving about “Darren Wilson’s X-ray” that shows a fractured eye socket — but this is just a generic example image of an unknown person’s CT scan.

Time will tell if Wilson is going to claim he had this type of injury, but nobody should take Jim Hoft’s word for it.

And one more point while I’m at it; Hoft writes:

This comes from a source within the Prosecuting Attorney’s office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police.

If that’s true, it’s highly disturbing that the St. Louis prosecutor’s office and the St. Louis County police department are leaking information to a far right hateblogger known for his unrelenting dishonesty, who uses a white supremacist hate group as a source.

The news has gone ridiculous. A photo of a man that the right wing media claimed was Wilson with bruising and an obvious eye injury went online. They must of not expected fact checkers, who discovered it was another man and not Wilson.
