Dave Starr, longtime community supporter, is in McLaren prior to entering hospice. He is in room 1106 and his family is encouraging friends to visit him.

Starr served as secretary of the North End Revitalization group until just before his first bout of lung cancer. The cancer has spread to the brain.

Starr was President of his Milbourne Avenue neighborhood group and also helped residents in other parts of the north end. Most recently he was repairing lawnmowers for groups addressing blight in the neighborhood.
