Flint voters will soon decide if they want a city ombudsman. The office is designed to help investigate citizen complaints of city services, free of connections to the Mayor, Council, or any other part of city government. Running the office costs about $200 thousand dollars each year and the current ombudsman has been out on sick leave for nearly four year. The council voted to put the issue before voters in February.
