Mobile billboards blaring recorded campaign messages accompanied by rousing patriotic marches tout Mayor Don Williamson's picks for City Council in the Nov. 8 election.

The billboards, towed by Patsy Lou Williamson Buick GMC trucks, have been parked in Williamson's spot outside City Hall and seen roaming city neighborhoods this week.

"You elected Mayor Don Williamson to clean up the city of Flint and that's exactly what Mayor Don is doing," the message says. "We cannot afford four more years of bickering by the Flint City Council."

The council response? It's illegal to park campaign-related vehicles in the mayor's space at City Hall.

"It's all inappropriate politics," Council President Johnnie Coleman said. "Hopefully the citizens can see through that."
