Author    Post   Steve Myers Site Admin The grant money would go toward helping to lean it up. Mayor Don Williamson says his goal is to renew areas in Flint and use the money to develop safe neighborhoods. He wants to knock down houses that are an eyesore for the city. He says he plans to build more new homes in the next year than many of us have seen in a long time in the city of Flint. He's also asking for the City Council to approve $1.5 million to be used for tearing down more homes, rebuilding sidewalks, cutting weeds and controlling rats. Williamson also claims he'll sue the county if it doesn't clean up properties that it owns. As you may imagine, the county has something to say about that.
