NOMINATING PETITIONS FILED

I submitted nomiating petitions to stand for the Flint MI USA City Council Ward 7 position primary election 08.02.05. Of the 135 submitted 100 were needed. I circulated 105 myself Bonnie, a campaign volunteer, circulated 35 in my neighborhood. I circulated in most other precincts and learned much from my 100 conversations with voters.

Flint residents, like most of the world, are composed of hard working people who care for their family, property, follow public events, follow a faith or a well thought our reason why not, live lives of dignity and respect and have strong opinions.

Flint resident may not be loud or have a public forum but when pressed into conversation have a common opinion of Flint City government. They are disappointed and think it is time for a change.

Citizen disatisfaction includes the Mayor and the Council. It is a collective label. Many ,as I, would say our 7th Ward incumbent is an honorable hard working council person with the best of intentions. But the lawsuits between the mayor and council, the name calling, and child like clownish boorish actions of the mayor and council has hit a critical mass and the residents want change.

I hope to work with others that want change.
