Some Christmas Pudding from Michael Moore

December 24, 2006

Dear friends,

What better way to get the Christmas dinner conversation going than with some fun facts!

This is the first of THREE Christmases left under President George W. Bush. THREE.

Ok, that's not too cheery. Let me try again.

If the daily death toll continues at this rate, sometime on Christmas Day a U.S. soldier will die in Iraq and, with his or her death, more U.S. troops will have been killed in Iraq than all the people lost on 9/11 (2,973).

On second thought, skip the politics for a day and just enjoy the pie.

Merry Christmas to each of you, and peace on earth, wherever we Americans have dropped in.

Yours,
Michael Moore

frankly the comparison of the two "numbers" is meaningless.

go have another egg nog, MM, the no-fat kind.

as for me, nothing screams Chrsitmas like watching that cult-classic, "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" being played nearly non-stop on TV. wow. what were those writers on when they conceived that. And worse, the production values of the movie made the writing seem like Masterpiece Theatre.

Perhaps I'll dream of "Santa Claus Conquers the Terrorists" in lieu of visions of sugar plums tonight.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Sounds like Biggie is jealous of MM. MM has done more for flint than most , in fact he has given thousands and thousands of dollars to the area.

huh?

whatever floats your boat.

I really don't think too much about anyone else, vis a vis, my life vs theirs. But if I did, MM, would be pretty low on the list I would be envious of.

Actually, I am pretty fulfilled, being a father & a husband. I got off the corporate fast track a long time ago once I realized I found more fulfillment from playing an active role as father, coach, husband to my family vs long hours and big bucks at work.

I find my family a better achievement than any I could do professionally.

MM is clever, and accomplished at what he does. He sells a point of view. I have a healthy distrust of anyone on two legs "selling" their viewpoint, regardless of location on the political spectrum. I trust my four-legged creatures like my dog, cat etc, over MM or Rush Limbaugh anyday to have my best interest in mind.

As far as doing anything for Flint, I am an honest joe, who pays his taxes, contributes to charities as much as I can, including my time. I don't have an interest to compare our "short arms" when it comes to what I vs anyone else has done. To each their own, based on their capabilities and motivations.

Apparently its a competitive thing to some people, Not I.
